OC Womens Rugby

OC Rugby is proud to announce that we will be recruiting for our women’s team this season, 2018/19. We have already started with our Tuesday night training but our big day is an RFU Inner Warrior event at the OCs on Tuesday 11th September 2018. 

With rugby legend Maggie Alphonsi hosting, we will be introducing the club, and the game, to any women who want to play rugby, whether they have done so before or not. So come along for a 7.30 start, with fun, food and drink all part of the evening!

Our focus is on fun and foundation rugby skills - and a bit more fun. We will not be entering any competitive leagues this year, but will be training and playing friendlies with other local development sides.

I believe passionately that rugby can change lives. Rugby is a sport where women’s strengths are celebrated and the equality on the rugby pitch is something that reflects OC Rugby's values which is why we are investing in the team this season.

We train on Tuesday evenings at 7.45 with a mixture of skills and fitness. Those who are new to contact will not be expected to take the plunge until they are ready.
